Embers – First Nations Engagement Strategy
Metropolitan Memorial Parks cares for eight memorial parks across Sydney and Newcastle. For their First Nations Engagement Strategy 2025–2030, they licensed my artwork Embers to carry the document visually, from the cover through to each section.
Five circles of rose, red and ochre glow against charcoal like embers, each patterned with its own detail. I adapted the colours to suit Metropolitan Memorial Parks, keeping the story and pattern of the artwork intact. Seeing the artwork run through the strategy shows how a licensed artwork can give an organisation's commitment to reconciliation a genuine First Nations voice.
