Sacred Connections

I designed this border for a Bishop's chasuble for the Archdiocese of Brisbane. The concentric circles represent the people of the Diocese who surround and move with the Bishop, and the wavy lines on either side represent the ocean and the land, acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' connection to both.

The colours reflect the Australian landscape, and the design moves with the celebrant's gestures while reflecting the unity of the Diocese's parishes and communities.
