Flow of Connection: Honouring Land, Water and Community
I created this artwork as a colour-in resource for The National Theatre for Children's First Nations cultural education program, with a written story to help teachers and students explore its meaning together.
People and community symbols travel along a river and a winding path, representing journey, connection and shared stories. The river brings life and nourishment as it weaves through the land, with rocks in the water symbolising strength, stability and foundational connections. Flora flourishes around the people as a reminder of the importance of caring for Country and respecting natural resources.
The artwork invites students to reflect on their place within the land and how their actions can support cultural stewardship and environmental wellbeing.
